"Rush Hour 4" star Jackie Chan is set to star in five films in 2016. These are "Kung Fu Panda 3," "Kung Fu Yoga," "Skiptrace," "Railroad Tigers" and "The Foreigner."
1. "Kung Fu Panda 3"
In "Kung Fu Panda 3," Chan voiced Monkey along with Lucy Liu as Viper, Angelina Jolie as Tigress, James Hong as Mr. Ping, Jack Black as Po, Dustin Hoffman as Shifu, Seth Rogen as Mantis, David Cross as Crane, Bryan Cranston as Li and Kate Hudson as Mei Mei, among others.
Liu, Black, Cranston, Hudson and Jolie attended the "Kung Fu Panda 3" premiere at the TCL Chinese Theatre in Los Angeles on Jan. 16, Saturday. Before the premiere, Jolie was in Cambodia directing the Netflix 2017 film "First They Killed My Father" and spent the holidays with her husband Brad Pitt and their children in Thailand, according to Page Six.
2. "Skiptrace"
Set to be released in February, "Skiptrace" was directed by Renny Harlin. It was based on the story of Jay Longino, who wrote the screenplay with BenDavid Grabinski.
The story of "Skiptrace" is about a Hong Kong detective who seeks the help of an American gambler to fight against a notorious Chinese criminal. Along with Chan, the action comedy film also stars Johnny Knoxville, Sara Maria Forsberg, Bingbing Fan and Eric Tsang, Michael Wong, among others.
While both "Kung Fu Panda" and "Skiptrace" have been completed, Chan is still filming "Kung Fu Yoga," "Railroad Tigers" and "The Foreigner." Joel Adrian and Tomer Oz star with Chan both in "Skiptrace" and "Kung Fu Yoga."
3. "Kung Fu Yoga"
In "Kung Fu Yoga," Chan plays an archaeology professor who teams up with a beautiful Indian professor to locate the lost Magadha treasure of India in Tibet. The action adventure film is a Chinese-Indian co-production also stars Amyra Dastur, Sonu Sood, Aarif Rahman, Paul Philip Clark, Yizing Zhang, Najmeddin AlHadad, Damian Mavis, Guoli Zhang and Ming Hu, among others.
4. "The Foreigner"
Chan is set to star with Pierce Brosnan and Charlie Murphy in the upcoming action thriller "The Foreigner." Among their co-stars are Dino Fazzani, Stephen Hogan and Charlie Murphy, among others.
5. "Railroad Tigers"
Directed by Sheng Ding, "Railroad Tigers" is about a railroad worker and freedom fighters' battle in China against the Japanese in 1941. It stars Chan opposite Fan Xu anf Hiroyuki Ikeuchi.
In addition, it has been announced that Chan will reprise his role as Mr. Han in "The Karate Kid 2." He will also reprise his role as Lee in "Rush Hour 4" with Chris Tucker, whose father died at his home in Lithonia, Georgia, on Jan. 14, Thursday, Rolling Out reported.
