With the official title of the "Prometheus" sequel being renamed to "Alien Covenant," fans will see the continuation of the sci-fi horror film. The audience will embark on a journey along with the new cast of characters that will take them to planet far away where they would possibly find more answers on the enigmatic Engineers.

According to an earlier article, the film is said to be part of a three-part series that would serve as a prequel to the classic "Alien" series that was started by Ridley Scott. "Prometheus" actually grossed $404 million back then, which now prompted the director to begin production for the sequel.

The audience will also get know the crew of the ship called Covenant (one of the reasons why the movie was called such). The crew will consist of characters being played by Katherine Waterston, Billy Crudup, Danny McBride, and Demian Bichir, to name a few. Those belonging to the Covenant also stumbled across the uncharted world and considered it to be paradise. What they don't know, however, is that the planet holds a dark secret as they learn more from the sole survivor of the ship Prometheus.

Michael Fassbender already mentioned that "Alien Covenant" will be "much scarier than 'Prometheus,'" according to Collider. He further adds that "it's got that same scope as Prometheus, that imminent disaster feel, that Alien had...I think it's gonna be super scary, number one..."

For a full lineup on the cast of "Alien: Covenant," the movie will star Katherine Waterston, Danny McBride, Jussie Smollett, Demian Bichir, Billy Crudup, Amy Seimetz, Carmen Ejogo, Callie Hernandez, Benjamin Rigby and Alexander England. Noomi Rapace will also be reprising her role as Dr. Elizabeth Shaw, albeit only a brief appearance.

"Alien: Covenant" will hit theaters on Aug. 4, 2017.
