"Sherlock Homes" actor Jude Law joins "Side Effects" actress Rooney Mara in the musical drama "Vox Lux." "The Childhood of a Leader" director Brady Corbet will be helming it.
Mara will play the pop star Celeste in "Vox Lux." Law will play as Celeste's manager, Variety reported. Grammy-nominated artist Sia will provide original songs for the soundtrack of the said musical drama.
"Vox Lux" follows Celeste as she rises from the ashes of a major national tragedy to pop superstardom. This 15-year odyssey is set between 1999 and the present day. It tracks the important cultural revolutions of the 21st century through her eyes.
"Vox Lux" will be shot on 65mm large-format film and exhibit on 70mm large-format film. It will be helped again by Kodak from an equity and marketing perspective.
