Microsoft and Apple are going head to head again. With the imminent release of the Microsoft Surface Pro 5 and Apple iPad Pro 2, specifications of those have been released. They are both set to be released early next year.
Port
The headphone port would be absent on iPad Pro 2 according to Tech Radar.
The Microsoft Surface Pro 5 would get a USB-C port rather than the USB 3.0 port on the Pro 4.
Battery
The iPad Pro 2 is expected to have a bigger battery.

RAM/ Processor
The iPad Pro 2 would have three variants. These are the 12.9 inch variant, a 10.5-inch model and the cheapest of them all which is the 9.7-inch iPad Pro 2. The 12.9 and 10.5-inch variants will run on A10X processor whilst the 9.7-inch model will keep the current chipset of A9X.
The Microsoft Surface Pro 5 will carry the most anticipated Intel processor, the Intel Kaby Lake processor. The RAM variations come from 8 GB up to 16 GB of RAM that are paired with AMD or Nvidia GPU.
Appearance, Display, and Camera
The iPad Pro 2 is expected to be slimmer and lighter than its predecessor. It is believed that it would have dust and water-resistance capability.
The iPad Pro 9.7 has a 5MP front-facing camera and a 12 MP on the rear-facing camera. It is expected the iPad Pro 2 would have the same megapixel count as its predecessor as the iPad Pro 9.7 is already an upgrade on the iPad Pro 12.9's snappers. Chances are the dual lens of the iPhone 7 will be brought to the iPad Pro 2.
The Microsoft Surface Pro 5 will sport an 8 MP front camera and 16 MP rear camera, Gamen Guide reported. It would have a 12.3 inch Pixel Sense Display. The two variants of the Microsoft Surface Pro 5 will have the 2K screen resolution and the 4K screen resolution.
OS
The iPad Pro 2 will feature the latest iOS 10.
Reports say that the Microsoft Surface Pro 5 will have the newest Microsoft OS which is the Redstone OS.
Price
With the iPad Pro 2, no price has been released. But with the iPad Pro, the price starts at $599 for the 9.7 inch model. For the 12.9-inch, it is at $799.
The price of Microsoft Surface Pro 5 will start at $899 and its value will increase for the better specs and with the added accessories.
