It's almost the end of 2016 and "Mortal Kombat X" is still going strong. And it still might be around until next year since NetherRealm Studios might just go ahead and release the third expansion pack next year. However, it might not be easy just doing that since the fan community might get disappointed with the change of plans.

As reported by JBH news, fans feel uneasy on the decision of NetherRealm Studios to delay the "Mortal Kombat X" expansion pack 3. The reason would probably lie in the fact NetherRealm Studios will be focusing on working on the next "Injustice" game.

Many times, developers had to resource their time and effort for other titles to keep the sales going. This is also a business strategy for titles from the same company to work well side by side and avoid from competing with another. So with the possibility of "Injustice 2" being released either later this year or early next year, it is likely that the Kombat Pack 3 will be released in June 2017.

According to a report from Attack of the Fan Boy, "Mortal Kombat X" co-creator Ed Boon had tweeted in his Twitter page, hinting that there will be a few additional playable characters in the third expansion pack. With that being the case, fans have voted for the release of Kombat Pack 3 over "Injustice 2" and "Shaolin Monks 2." In addition to that, the four new characters are reported to be Baraka, Fujian, Noob Saibot, Rain and Sindel.
