Nintendo Switch is coming soon but the exact specs of the anticipated console are still unknown. However, there are growing rumors and leaks on the device's specs especially on its RAM.

Nintendo's upcoming console Switch is dropping on March 2017 and the official statement on the device's specs will be announced January next year. However, leaks and rumors have already circulated online especially on the device's RAM - an important hardware component on running games. According to Nintendo Insider, Nintendo Switch will be on sale with 4GB of RAM.

The amount of RAM in the upcoming Switch is comparatively small compared to the latest editions of PlayStation and Microsoft's Xbox. Both consoles come with 8GB of RAM which means the current console has double the RAM compared to the upcoming console.

But half the RAM of the current modern consoles suggests a totally different approach of Nintendo. Although Switch could be used for normal console gaming, the number of RAM suggests that the gaming company is focused on ensuring the device could work really well in mobile conditions. The amount of RAM Switch would offer to gamers should be enough for console gaming with improved graphics on mobile.

According to Tech Radar, offering 4GB of RAM on Switch has its advantages. Among them is the requirements of most mobile games should be more than enough on the rumored hardware specs. Although the RAM of Switch is the same as Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge and the iPhone 7, Nintendo Switch will not have any problem dealing with games because it will not feature any multitasking that could derail its operations.

But aside from RAM, there are other rumors circulating about the device's specs. Support for USB-C and the 128GB capacity for memory cards (no external hard disk) are also circulating.

While the world wait for the official announcement of Nintendo Switch's specs. The rumors are already circulating about the device's RAM specification and other components. If these components are true, the upcoming device from Nintendo will lean more to the mobile gaming world while ensuring gamers looking for a full console experience with a console dock.
