A familiar character from Asylum will be making an appearance on "American Horror Story" Season 6: Roanoke.
Sarah Paulson's Asylum character, Lana Winters, will resurface in an upcoming episode of Season 6's Roanoke. The scoop was revealed by creator/showrunner Ryan Murphy via Twitter on Monday.
"Sarah Paulson's ASYLUM ultimate survivor LANA WINTERS returns this season on "AHS: ROANOKE." Happy Halloween!" Murphy said on his tweet.
Details on how Winters will figure into the current season's storyline are still under wraps. However, there's an ongoing speculation postulating that Paulson's Audrey will be the last man standing when Season 6 concludes.
Crossovers in the world of "American Horror Story" are not uncommon. Fans may recall that Paulson also reprised her role as psychic Billie Dean in Season 5's Hotel. Season 3 Coven's Queenie (Gabourey Sidibe) also made an appearance on Hotel, while Sister Mary Eunice (Lily Rabe) and Pepper (Naomi Grossman) have also checked-in on Asylum and Season 4's Freak Show.
The news comes after Murphy recently revealed that they are currently in the works of developing a crossover season between Murder House and Coven. The said crossover will feature appearances of familiar characters from both installments.
"It's not going to be next season, but we are going to do a season that's a crossover between Murder House and Coven together, which is very bizarre," Murphy said.
"American Horror Story" stars Kathy Bates, Sarah Paulson, Cuba Gooding Jr., Lily Rabe, Andre Hollan, Dennis O'Hare, Wes Bentley, Evan Peters, Cheyenne Jackson and Angela Bassett. Season 6 airs every Wednesday at 10PM on FX.
