Preview
Sacramento started the season better than expected as they won two of their first three games. However, the losses are starting to pile up again as they dropped their second straight game with a 108-96 overtime loss to the Miami Heat in their latest match on the road at the American Airlines Arena on Tuesday, as per the Sacramento Bee.
DeMarcus Cousins and Rudy Gay led the team in scoring during the game with 30 points each with the latter also grabbing 12 rebounds while the former getting seven boards and dishing out four assists. Aaron Afflalo was the third leading scorer with 18 points.
It was a close game from start to the end of regulation, but the Kings were held to only five points in overtime as the Heat maximized their home court advantage to come away with the win.
Sacramento has been struggling to win on the road as they have won only three times in their last nine road games. The team is 1-2 in away games so far this season and they are looking to beat the odds in this match against the Magic.
Meanwhile, Orlando is coming off a 103-101 nipping of the Philadelphia 76ers at their home court of Wells Fargo Center also on Tuesday, the Orlando Sentinel reported.
Nikola Vucevic started at center and led the team in scoring with 24 points. He also had 14 rebounds and four assists to cap a monster game for the Magic.
Serge Ibaka, Elfrid Payton, and Evan Fournier backed him up with 21, 18, and 17 points respectively. Payton led the team in assists with 10 as he started at the point guard spot.
It was the first win for Orlando after starting the season on a three-game losing streak. The Magic has won five of their last seven home games.
Prediction
Based on historical data, the Magic are more likely to win this one at home than the Kings pulling off a road upset. Sacramento only has two scorers at this time with Cousins and Gay. Beyond the two, the Kings does not have the firepower to stay with Orlando.
