iPhone 7 Plus vs Google Pixel XL Camera: Apple undisputed on video shooting

Apple's iPhone 7 Plus and Google Pixel XL are one of the topnotch devices with superb camera features. Gadget enthusiasts throw in their verdict as to which is better in shooting video and taking photos in different lighting conditions.

CNET tested these two flagships' camera features in shooting videos in 4k and slo-mo. According to the tech site, iPhone 7 Plus edged out the Google Pixel XL camera with color saturation, image stabilization, sharpness, contrast, low-light shooting and zooming quality.

In addition, shooting 4K video on the iPhone 7 Plus gives crisp and sharp images with its more natural image stabilization. Credits to its f/1.8 aperture and a new innovation from the six-elements lens that helps the camera film better in low-light condition, and take vibrant photos.

Although Google Pixel XL, can also shoot 4K video at 30fps it has been beaten on image stabilization but struggled to capture at 60fps. However, the Google Pixel XL lives up to its promising camera features. Its impressive performance on low-light condition and exceptional HDR+ technology is by far the best among flagships.

According to the camera test, it smoothly shifts exposure setting in low-light condition and delivers DSLR-like photos. Also, it's quick to snap close-up photos with its laser autofocus,The Verge noted.

As per camera features, the Apple iPhone 7 Plus follows the new trend of dual-lens set up. It has two 12MP cameras, one of which is a 12MP telephoto camera, and a 7MP front-facing camera. While on the other hand, Google Pixel XL has 12.3MP rear shutter along with with1.55µm pixels plus phase detection and an 8MP selfie snapper.

Apple iPhone 7 Plus might have dominated Google Pixel XL on shooting videos. Still, it is interesting to note that there are certain features that the Pixel has stood out.
