A lot of us might be worried about the upcoming "Batman" film that stars Ben Affleck because of the general poor critical reception of "Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice." However, some of us should have faith and give it a chance, just like how actor Joe Manganiello ("True Blood") had done in a report recently.

According to ComicBookMovie.com, actor Joe Manganiello who will be cast as Deathstroke in the upcoming "Batman" movie mentioned that the film will be going in a unique direction and is bound to make a lot of people "really happy," as based on his recent interview with Mark Madden, Super Genius podcast.

"When I met Ben [Affleck], we sat down and we talked about the role. We talked about the movie," the character for Deathstroke said. "His take is a fresh take, but I think the audience is going to be surprised. Because it's a road that no one's really gone down that's completely integral to who Batman is.

Manganiello went on to add: ["And I think it's gonna be refreshing but at the same time completely familiar. [I]t's going to take this franchise in a direction that I think A LOT of people are going to be really happy about. It's going to be gritty and action-packed and cerebral and all of those elements that people love about Batman."

Manganiello also expressed his admiration for Affleck, especially praising his works like "Argo" and "Good Will Hunting."

"Ben's a great director, man. I mean the last movie that man directed won Best Picture," said the actor. "He's got an Oscar for writing. ... Everything is lined up for a really, really, really great movie. Not only a superhero movie but just a great, great movie."

In other news Time Warner CEO Jeff Bewkes mentioned that the upcoming "Batman" film starring Ben Affleck is set for "year and a half out." Confirming this is actor Jeremy Irons (who plays as Bruce Wayne's family butler Aflred) who recently said that the film will commence production next summer, reports Gamespot.

While we wait for the next "Batman" movie, we'll be seeing Affleck in his Bat costume kicking butts along with Gal Gadot ("Fast & Furious"), Jason Momoa ("Game of Thrones"), Ezra Miller ("Trainwreck"), Ray Fisher Jr. ("The Astronaut Wives Club"), and Henry Cavill ("Man of Steel") in "Justice League," premiering on Nov. 17, 2017.
