It seems that Valve has a hard time getting a third installment in its series. We may "Half-Life 1" and "2," "Left 4 Dead 1" and "Left 4 Dead 2," "Team Fortress 1" and "Team Fortress 2," and even "Portal 1" and "Portal 2." There already have been rumors of a possible "Left 4 Dead 3" due to a well-known leak thanks to Tristan Redford and even reports of "Half-Life 3," but what about "Portal 3?" While there won't be possibilities of a "Team Fortress 3," "Portal 3" may be the next bet in the lineup of Valve games.

Well, we've got the report from Motoring Crunch saying that Valve itself may be a little too preoccupied with Steam and multiplayer online games, even to the point that people may be throwing in the towel for hoping third installments of its games like "Portal 3" will ever see the light of day.

There were reports, on one hand, saying that we could be seeing (or hearing) an announcement on the development of "Portal 3" before the year 2016 ends. Although, on the other hand, since we're nearing the end of this year, we may not be getting an announcement anytime soon anymore.

In accordance with the leak from Tristan Redford about "Left 4 Dead 3," there also have been reports of a "Portal 3" being seen in the leaked screenshot during his tutorial for the Destinations Workshop before the screenshot was taken down.

Of course, why should it end just like that? Other than "Half-Life 2: Episode 2" ending in a cliffhanger, "Portal 2" did have an ending that exuded the mysteriousness and curiosity in people. Many hope that Valve is just being the way it is, as mysterious and elusive as its cliffhanger endings.

However, to give them benefit of the doubt, IF we get to see "Half-life 3," "Left 4 Dead 3," and even "Portal 3," Valve might just go out with a bang.
