Players would be enjoying a lot of things in the recent weekend as "Battleborn" made itself free to play during "Battleborn Day." Speaking of things free, Gearbox Software's developers have announced an addition of a second downloadable story titled "Toby's Friendship Raid."
According to the DLC's official description (via WWG), it reads: "Toby's death-dealing mech suit has been stolen. Players must team up and help the universe's most adorable and deadly penguin take it back - with courage, optimism, rivers of blood, and teamwork! This all-new story operation lets players fight their way through LLC manufacturing facilities' deadly traps and enemies to earn new skins, taunts and chances to unlock Faction Commander Packs while pursuing their mission to restore Toby's mech suit to its rightful owner. Toby's Friendship Raid is launching today as part of the Season Pass, and each Story Operation can also be purchased individually for 700 Platinum in the in-game marketplace upon release."
Just recently developers have taken part in the "Battleborn Day" event, which was put together by the "Battleborn" community especially users from Reddit, as reported by PC Gamer. With Gearbox actively participating at the event, they've allowed all the characters to be free of charge last weekend, so players, newcomers and veterans alike, can try them out and see who fits their preferences. To add to the fun, those who really want to invest in those characters will get a 20 percent discount along with free extra skins.
So far, the event may still be going on until now, so it's best for fans to hop in before it's too late.
