With all the publicity that "Resident Evil: The Final Chapter" has been getting, it truly marks the end of the "Resident Evil" franchise. Trying to give off the "farewell" vibes one more time, studio Screen Gems has released two new posters for the film.
According to IMP Awards, two new promotional arts have been released, one for North American premiere and the other for the International release. Both posters convey a sense of conclusion, with a tagline, "The Journey Ends," signifying what could possibly be the end of Alice's struggle. Milla Jovovich, who plays the gun-toting and ass-kicking heroine Alice, confirmed that this will be the end of the heroine's story.
"Resident Evil: The Final Chapter" picks up immediately after the events of "Retribution" and is the sixth entry Capcom's video game-inspired film franchise by Sony and Screen Gems.
In earlier news, Screen Gems just released the latest international trailer a few weeks ago. The trailer showed Alice teaming up with Clair Redfield (Ali Larter) and other of her companions as they return to Racoon city to stop the evil Umbrella Corporation and finally wipe the T-Virus clean once and for all. Besides the hordes of flesh hungry zombies and numerous other mutant monstrosities, Alice and her friends would have to face off against diabolic Dr. Isaacs (Iain Glen) and the tyrannical Albert Wesker (Shawn Roberts).
Audiences will be enjoying the action packed scenes, along with familiar scenes and faces, like the laser-trapped hallway and the holographic Red Queen. Besides Jovovich, Larter, Glen, and Roberts starring in the movie, "Resident Evil: The Final Chapter" will also star Eoin Macken, William Levy, Ruby Rose and several others. Director Paul W.S. Anderson helmed the film, which will premiere on Dec. 23 in Japan and Jan. 27, 2017 in North America.
