‘Excessive Love’ rapper Jessi accused of physical assault; Agency speaks up to address issue

Rapper Jessi is being dragged to physical altercation issue after an incident that took place in Gangnam District on Nov. 17.

According to Soompi, a police report stated there was a physical altercation amid filming of a music video at a club in the said place. The incident reportedly happened at around 9:30 p.m. allegedly involving Jessi's party against another team.

"There were two groups involved, Jessi's team and alleged male victim A's team, and they got into a verbal dispute over the fact that [one group didn't receive the greeting of the other group]. Things escalated into a physical altercation," the police stated.

Further reports revealed the alleged male victim accused Jessi of physical assault, which was shoot down by the rapper. Police said the two parties gave contradicting statements, however, both has decided to resolve the issue at the scene.

"The testimonies were conflicting, but both people didn't want to be penalized. At the end of their conversation, they made up with each other, and everything was resolved at the scene," the police added.

Meanwhile, Jessi's label has spoken up address the accusation of physical assault pressed against the rapper. In a statement, YMC Entertainment denied the allegations against Jessi, adding that the rapper and the alleged victim are colleagues.

"The assault is not true. They didn't even fight. Jessi and A are good friends. They were playing around when someone mistook their actions and called the police. It was just something that happened, and there are no problems," the label said as per Allkpop.

Reports claimed Jessi is set to make a cameo in a music video of Double K, hence, the rapper was present at the club. However, Double K said the filming of the music video ended with no troubles.
