Price war! Nintendo flames price war with price leak, starter kits revealed?

Nintendo is currently on the hush-hush about the specs and price of their highly anticipated Switch console. But even with all the secrecy and anticipation for next year's official announcement, leaks from well-known source point to the aggressive pricing of the gaming giant that would likely spark another price war.

Switch Aggressive Pricing Leak

Nintendo may have experienced some slump with its Wii U but the company is gearing for a strong return in the upcoming Switch. Based on the preview, the upcoming console will feature seamless gaming transition from traditional console to mobile gaming. Additional features on the preview also indicate two player gaming on mobile and even some interesting titles on release.

But aside from the impressive feature presentation of Nintendo, leaks about the pricing is also set to be very attractive. According to Tech Radar, the anticipated console is will go on sale for only $250 as its based price.

Although no additional details were revealed in terms of the bundle and add-ons, the base price should cover the basics of the game. At the indicated price point, the console will be on sale with the basic controller and the console itself.

According to Forbes, Nintendo Switch will most likely come in two versions. Aside from the basic console, Switch will also be sale for $299 which should come with additional controller and will most likely bundled with a popular title from out of the box. Prepare for hours of Zelda if you're pushing for the bundle.

Pricing War with Other Consoles

If the price of the upcoming console from Nintendo is true, everyone definitely wins. Price of major consoles today are also within the same price point. PlayStation 4 (500GB) bundle with a major game is often on sale for $299 while Xbox One (500GB) bundled is even more attractive as its also on sale for only $249.

Next year is going to be a big year for gaming consoles. The arrival of Nintendo Switch with its aggressive pricing will place it at par with every major console in the industry. If the Switch delivers what it promises on its previews, gamers everywhere will enjoy the console wars even more.
