‘The Last Ship’ Season 4 cast, news: ‘Twilight’ veteran Jackson Rathbone boards TNT’s drama

"Twilight" veteran Jackson Rathbone boards TNT's drama series "The Last Ship" Season 4. He is sinking his teeth into a pot-sitting role.

According to TV Line, Rathbone will recur a rich, Greek-American playboy Giorgio in "The Last Ship" Season 4. He is not only charming but also a dangerous thug. He uses his considerable wealth and power to make the Mediterranean his playground.

"The Last Ship" Season 4 is created by Hank Steinberg and Steven Kane, Deadline reported. It is based on William Brinkley's popular novel. It chronicles the aftermath of a global catastrophe that nearly decimates the world's population.

In the plot of "The Last Ship" Season 4, Captain Tom Chandler (Eric Dane) and his crew aboard the USS Nathan James US navy destroyer must confront the reality of their new existence in a world where they may be among the few remaining survivors. To recall, he as the ship's commander walked off Nathan James at the end of Season 3.

Joining Rathbone in "The Last Ship" Season 4, "Tyrant" actress Sibylla Deen will play as a cunning survivor Lucia of the plague with a special interest in the fate of the world. She is not only disciplined but also ruthless and unforgiving as well as has an ax to grind with Chandler. Other survivors will be boarded again such as "Castle" Adam Baldwin (Captain Mike Slattery), "Grey's Anatomy" Bridget Regan (Sasha Cooper), and "Joy" Elisabeth Rohm (Allison Shaw).

Rathbone is represented by Innovative Artists, Link Entertainment, and attorney Peter Nelson. He played vampire Jasper Hale in the "Twilight" movie franchise and recurred on MTV's "Finding Carter." His other credits include the upcoming features "Until We Meet Again" and "Justice."

"The Last Ship" Season 4 has been already renewed for Season 5. It is expected to return on the air waves in the summer of 2017 with 13 episodes.
