As fans patiently wait for the launch of "Game of Thrones" Season 7, multiple set reports have emerged online teasing some major spoilers. One of the highly-discussed is a brewing battle between the Lannisters and the forces lead by Daenerys Targaryen.

When we last tuned in on "Game of Thrones," we saw Daenerys and Tyrion headed to Westeros. Cersei, meanwhile, burned down the sept and is now sitting pretty on the Iron Throne. Moving forward, it appears that there will be a major battle between House Lannister and House Targaryen.

Game of Thrones Season 7: Daenerys forming an unlikely alliance?

According to Watchers on the Wall, set reports confirm that Daenerys will form some unlikely alliances among other characters like Ser Davos and Brienne of Tarth. The scene, according to the site, is set to take place at the Dragonpit - an old building at King's Landing that once housed dragons.

In addition to the Dragon Queen forming an alliance, there's also word that an 'ambush' will unfold in the penultimate season of "Game of Thrones." A couple of weeks later, WOTW reported that scenes filmed on Malpartida Spain is a battle instigated by the Targaryens against the Lannisters. The action-packed scene will see Daenerys and at least one of her baby dragons leading the attack followed by a horde of Dothrakis.

"Considering where we left off the story last season, the army under attack have to be the Lannisters, and indeed we know one of them will be present, probably Jaime," wrote the site.

It's clear that these reports/rumors do not bode well for the future of the Lannisters. However, it is still worth noting that Cersei is still alive and is probably the scariest character right now on "Game of Thrones." She has lost all of her children which means that she now has nothing to fear and lose moving forward.

With Cersei's sense of humanity scraped away and with Daenerys forming multiple alliances, "Game of Thrones" Season 7 is shaping up to be one of the series' most exciting run to date. All told, expect that the new bunch of episodes will be filled with high-stakes storyline and possibly, even more casualties.
