(Photo : YouTube/Starwars) K-2SO is the new droid to watch in the New Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. In this scene K-2SO threw a bomb on a group of Stormtroopers blasting them afterwards.

Since the first movie of "Star Wars," C-3PO has always been with Han Solo and Luke Skywalker. This time, the spotlight is focused on the new droid, K-2SO.

"Rogue One: A Star Wars Story" would be the first "Star Wars" movie that will not include C-3PO along with R2D2. In the absence of the two robots, K-2SO will take their place. The droid with the size of a human is a reprogrammed Imperial security droid to assist the Rebel Alliance. His ability to merge at the Imperial outposts and is highly acclaimed. The trailer shows him blasting a group of Stormtroopers by throwing a bomb over his shoulder.

Apparently, K-2SO was owned by the Empire and has the emblem on his shoulder before the rebels took hold of him and reprogrammed him. It was Cassian (Andor) who reprogrammed the droid wiping some data. The droid began to speak his mind and said things.

Also in the new trailer, it shows the difficulty of taking down an All Terrain Armored Cargo Transport (AT-ACT). After being hit once, it seems like nothing happened and jolts back to life, according to USA Today.

As cited by E! News, the film takes place in an era between "Star Wars: Episode III-Revenge of the Sith" and the first film, "Star Wars: Episode IV-A New Hope" and centralize on the establishment of the Rebel Alliance and their task to snitch the plans to the Death Star.

K-2SO's task on the other hand is to protect Jyn as Captain Andor instructed him to do so. He said, "I'll be there for you. The captain says I have to." Jyn was amused and find the droid charming.

The tickets for "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story" will go on sale Monday at 12:01 AM. "Star Wars" fans will be able to see the whole gang and of course, the charming K-2SO on December 16.
