"Game of Thrones" is rumored to feature a massive and epic White Walker battle sequence on its upcoming seventh season on HBO.

Fans of "Game of Thrones" will yet again feel the presence of the White Walkers in Season 7. After last year's heartbreaking "The Door" episode, the return of the wights on the fantasy series can only mean further chaos amidst the political tension in Westeros.

Game of Thrones Season 7: Production crew sets up for a massive White Walker scene

According to a set report shared by Watchers on the Wall, production for a massive White Walkers scene is currently underway. The site reports that the production crew has booked a location in Belfast, Ireland called 'Wolf Hill Quarry', for three weeks.

Additional details reveal that the scene will be composed of 300 wights. However, there were no sightings of actors linked to the storyline such as Isaac Hempstead Wright (Bran) and Ellie Kendrick (Meera). The site also teased that fans should expect "a dynamic and elaborate sequence."

Game of Thrones Season 7: Who can defeat the White Walkers?

As viewers saw on "The Door," Hodor fought very hard to protect Bran from the White Walkers. But their forces were so strong, he ended up losing his own life. Should they come back to attack Westeros again in Season 7, that goes without saying that all bets are off for all the characters involved.

Case in point: Daenerys may have her baby dragons at her disposal, but this does not guarantee anything. They may even perish trying to protect their Queen, as there are evidences proving that White Walkers are fire-resistant.

In the books, however, it is known that the White Walkers can be defeated by two things: an obsidian and a Valyrian Steel. Now the question remains, which character can take them down?

"Game of Thrones" Season 7 kicks off in the summer of 2017 on HBO.
