In a recent interview with "Pokémon Sun and Moon" producer Junichi Masuda and director Shigeru Ohmori, the duo revealed a many details about the development of the newest 3DS installment to the Pokémon video game series. A lot of the graphics, Pokémon, and features were built from the bottom up. They took a lot of risks in giving out new content while taking inspiration from previous popular games. Masuda also mentioned that the success of "Pokémon GO" helped Sun and Moon get some traction, while also improving the popularity of both the card game as well as the television show.

The interview continued with both Ohmori and Masuda talking about inspirations from the original Pokémon games. The newest installment featured region specific versions of some of the most popular Pokémon including an Exeggutor native to the area. The developers also had a bit of difficulty implementing the Z-Moves and making sure that it worked on all the various 3DS iterations. According to Ohmori, the Z-Moves are meant to help unusual Pokémon get the spotlight with moves that can change the tide of battle. The game also features a new engine which improved the graphics and made screen transitions much faster. The duo also had a bit of a challenge when developing the Trials system as they wanted players to feel a sense of progression much like they did in Gyms. The game also features riding certain Pokémon and everyone connecting to single location through the Festival Plaza.

Meanwhile, Cyber Monday deals are being featured on numerous websites and "Pokémon Sun and Moon" is being offered by both Target and Toys "R" Us at a 15 percent discount. That goes for both games which can also be ordered online. While others are offering discounts for the game, a website reports that these are the biggest discounts available.

"Pokémon Sun and Moon" was released last November 18 and is available on the 3DS.
