"Pokémon Go" fans might be expected Gen 2 Pokémon anytime soon, according to rumors.
A recent Reddit post made clear that a new set of Pokémon will be added to the game in around December, specifically Dec. 7. The leak was supposedly from a Starbucks internal memo, which was a photo that was eventually deleted.
However, some sources were able to retain the photo before it was lost forever.
Some notable things, however, were raising some eyebrows from fans. One thing was that "Pokémon" is instead spelled as "Pokeman" in the memo. But, the Reddit user did insist it was an actual memo from an email sent to employees.
Many would highly that the update in bringing Gen 2 Pokémon would be coming in sooner rather than later, in spite of the lack of news in its exact release date.
Earlier this month, data miners at The Silph Road and Pokémon Go Hub went over and sifted through the game's files and found that there traces of the Gen 2 Pokémon within the data. Around 100 new Pokémon were found in the data, which may mean that developers at Niantic Labs may be on verge of creating the update.
What the data miners have found out, however, is that the movesets of these Gen 2 Pokémon have not been implemented in the mobile game yet. But, it wouldn't be problem for Niantic since it might be the first thing that they would be putting along with Gen 2's imminent arrivals.
More details would be coming soon, hence, players would just have to sit and wait.
