During his appearance on "Radio Star," Kang Sung Hoon revealed the story behind his pink hair. The SechSkies member revealed the idea was proposed by YG Entertainment after he signed a solo contract with the label.

According to Allkpop, Kang even said he did not want to dye his hair with color pink. However, the SechSkies member added the idea has already been decided by the time he went to the salon.

"The hair salon director had already selected the color after I joined YG...I was scared. I thought, when I should be gaining fans, I will lose many of them. I was really nervous, but now that I have pink hair, I think I look pretty good," Kang narrated.

Reports claimed Kang signed an exclusive solo contract with the label in May, simultaneously after SechSkies signed with the company for their comeback. Prior to that, the boy group staged their first reunion concert.
