"Spy" actor Jason Statham, 48, was nominated Best Actor in a Comedy at the 21st Critics' Choice Awards but he lost to "The Big Short" actor Christian Bale, 41. During the awards ceremony, the actor wore a Saint Laurent suit.
On Jan. 19, Tuesday, Statham took to Facebook to thank Saint Laurent for his suit. He posted a photo of himself wearing the suit with a caption, "Thanks for the great suit last at the Critics Choice awards! @ysl #saintlaurent."
Saint Laurent Paris clothes can be shopped online not only in America but also in Europe, Oceania, Africa and Asia. In Asia, it is available only in Afghanistan, Hong Kong, Japan, South Korea and Turkey, according to its official online store YSL.
After starring with Melissa McCarthy, 45, in "Spy," Statham is set to star in "Mechanic: Resurrection" opposite Chinese-Malaysian actress Michelle Yeoh, 53. Filming of the action thriller, which will hit theaters in the United States on Aug. 26, started in Bangkok, Thailand, on Nov. 4, 2014.
In "Mechanic: Resurrection," Statham reprises his role as Arthur Bishop in the 2011 film "The Mechanic." Yeoh, on the other hand, will play a new character named Mae.
Yeoh is not the only actor of Asian descent in the cast of "Mechanic: Resurrection." Directed by Dennis Gansel, the sequel of "The Mechanic" also stars Thai singer and actress Yayaying Rhatha Phongam, 32, who previously starred in the Japanese action film "Lupin III" in 2014.
Among the co-stars of Statham, Yeoh and Phongam in "Mechanic: Resurrection" are Choi Si-Won and Jackie Chan's "Dragon Blade" co-star Tomer Oz, "Men in Black" star Tommy Lee Jones and "Fantastic Four" star Jessica Alba, who recently showed her eco-friendly home with Better Homes and Gardens.
Before starring in "Mechanic: Resurrection" opposite Statham, Yeoh will reprise her role as Yu Shu Lien in "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon: Sword of Destiny" with Donnie Yen, Harry Shum Jr., Jason Scott Lee, Eugenia Yuan, Juju Chan, Chris Pang, Darryl Quon, Natasha Liu Bordizzo, Veronica Ngo, Tim Wong, Shuya Chang and Roger Yuan, among others. Directed by Yuen Woo-Ping, the action drama film will be released in Hong Kong on Feb. 18 and in China on Feb. 19.
