Jonghyun is confirmed to be the next one to release a song for "SM Nation" on Dec. 9.
According to Allkpop, the SHINee member will drop a self-composed track titled "Inspiration" as part of the project on Friday. Reports claimed the song is a combination of R&B and EDM.
Jonghyun personally wrote and composed "Inspiration" with the assistance of IMLAY, who is known for his EDM works. Previously, the SHINee member performed the song during his first two "JONGHYUN - X - INSPIRATION" concerts in Seoul last Dec. 3 and 4.
Recently, Jonghyun's solo concert became controversial after the idol played as an Indian guy in a video played during his concert on Saturday, Yahoo reported. Aside from that, the SHINee member also captured the attention of the concertgoers for his remarks on homosexuality.
After the first day of "JONGHYUN - X - INSPIRATION" concert, many people took offense of Jonghyun's act and bombarded the idol with hate comments. Recognizing his fault, Jonghyun wrote a long apology to immediately address the issue.
"That is clearly my fault, and I will delete it from the video. It is a fault that I have no excuse for, and I bow my head in apology to everyone who was disappointed by it, Jonghyun wrote.
The SHINee member said it was not his intention to offend anyone or any race, stating that his exaggerated acting was not meant to ridicule the Indian people. He added he decided to use the terms "taste" and "that way" to avoid sounding impolite.
"This is why I said 'that way' because I was not that direction, not because I could not use the words "gay," "homosexual," or "sexual minority." However, if "that side" is used as a derogatory term somewhere in the world, it could be my fault for being ignorant," Jonghyun said.
Meanwhile, SHINee's Jonghyun is set to stage two more shows which are part of "JONGHYUN - X - INSPIRATION" on Dec. 17-18 at the KBS Busan Hall.
