Preview

Chicago has been mercurial in their past several games, losing four of their last six matches. At the moment, the team is fourth in the surprisingly competitive Eastern Conference, five games behind the defending champions Cleveland Cavaliers.

In their most recent assignment, the Bulls lost to the Minnesota Timberwolves, 99-94, at their home court of United Center on Tuesday night, as per the Chicago Sun-Times.

It was a homecoming of sorts for former Chicago head coach Tom Thibodeau, who is now coaching the youngsters in Minnesota.

Jimmy Butler led his team versus their former boss with an impressive all-around display of 27 points, nine rebounds, six assists, three steals, and one block in a losing effort.

Starting center Robin Lopez backed him up with 14 points, five boards, and four blocked shots while Dwyane Wade contributed 12 points, five rebounds, eight assists, two steals, and one block in a poor shooting performance.

Taj Gibson was solid with 10 points, four rebounds, and one assist as the fourth player in double figures for Bulls coach Fred Hoiberg.

Rajon Rondo is out with a sprained ankle and is expected to miss again this game versus the Bucks.

Meanwhile, the Bucks are on a three-game losing slide to drop to 10th place in the Eastern Conference, and only a half-game behind eighth-place team Indiana Pacers.

Milwaukee was routed by powerhouse team Toronto Raptors, 122-100, on the road at the Air Canada Centre last Monday, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reported.

Giannis Antetokounmpo led head coach Jason Kidd's squad during the loss with 30 points, eight rebounds, five assists, and three steals while Jabari Parker had 27 points, three boards, and two assists.

Greg Monroe played 16 minutes off the bench and contributed 11 points and two rebounds for the Bucks.

Prediction

The Bulls are 6-7 in away games so far this season while the Bucks are 8-6 at home. It would be a close match for both sides, but Chicago is favored to prevail even without Rondo.
