New York is somewhat on a roll right now as they have won six of their last eight games to climb to the third spot in the Eastern Conference standings, four-and-a-half games behind defending champions Cleveland Cavaliers.

The Knicks' two-game winning run was snapped on Tuesday with a 113-111 overtime loss to the Phoenix Suns on the road at the Talking Stick Resort Arena, as per the New York Times.

Head coach Jeff Hornacek had a huge game from Kristaps Porzingis, who produced 34 points, eight rebounds, three steals, and three blocks in a losing effort.

Courtney Lee had 14 points while Carmelo Anthony ended up with 13 points shooting 3-for-15 from the field. Anthony also had six boards and five assists.

Derrick Rose started for the team but only played 10 minutes, scoring two points and grabbing one rebound, due to back spasms.

The Knicks got a huge boost from Kyle O'Quinn off the bench with a double-double of 22 points and 14 rebounds.

Meanwhile, the Warriors edged a hard-fighting New Orleans Pelicans five, 113-109, on the road at the Smoothie King Center on Tuesday night, SF Gate reported.

Stephen Curry led the squad with 30 points on 11-for-23 field goal shooting, including a 5-for-9 stint from beyond the arc. He also had four rebounds, seven assists, and one steal.

Kevin Durant backed him up with 27 points, three boards, three assists, and two blocks, including a crucial one against Anthony Davis with 34 seconds left in the game that preserved their win.

Klay Thompson had a bad shooting night once again but ended up with 17 points, three rebounds, three assists, and two blocks.

However, the man of the match was Draymond Green, who notched his 15th career triple-double with 12 points, 12 boards, and 10 assists. Aside from that, he also irritated Davis the whole game, especially in the final few minutes of the match.
