Gary has some sweet words for Song Ji Hyo and Kim Jong Kook after the two were reported to leave "Running Man" after seven years.
On Dec. 16, Gary took to his Instagram account to commend and thank Song Ji Hyo and Kim Jong Kook for their participation in the popular TV program. The rapper shared a photo of himself with the two "Running Man" cast members and wrote, "You guys worked very very very hard. Thank you," Allkpop cited.
In October, Gary also announced his departure from "Running Man" to pursue his music career. The rapper said he wanted to focus in creating music; hence, he has decided to end his journey in the show.
Just this week, "Running Man" shocked their followers when they revealed Song Ji Hyo and Kim Jong Kook's exit from the program. Following the surprising news, the SBS program was mired with controversy for allegedly informing the two artists at the last minute.
Many netizens even bombarded the production of "Running Man" for their decision on the sudden departure of Song Ji Hyo and Kim Jong Kook. Hence, the program released a statement on Thursday apologizing to the two artists and to their viewers.
"With the news of the unexpected reorganization being released, we hurt both Song Ji Hyo and Kim Jong Kook, two members who we have treated like family for the past seven years. In regards to that aspect, we would like to sincerely apologize to both of them," the show said as per Soompi.
The production ended the dispatch with an apology to both Song Ji Hyo and Kim Jong Kook for being insensitive with the decision. Also, the show also apologized for confusing the other members of "Running Man."
