‘Attack on Titan’ chapter 88 recap, spoilers, Grisha connects Eren to founding titan

The latest chapter of "Attack on Titan" continues with the latest revelation to Grisha as Eren continues to learn more about his father's past. Although the chapter is basically just a recollection of the past, it does provide some insight to the future not only for Eren but for the rest of the Titans.

Chapter 88 Recap

Chapter 88 of "Attack on Titan" can be read online through Manga Stream. The chapter continues the revelation of Eren Kruger, a Titan who works for the Marleyan government who leaks information to the rebellion led by Grisha. He informs Grisha that Titans can only live for 13 years and it's also known as "Ymir's Curse."

Eren commands Grisha to take his powers and become the next titan. This is the only way he could survive inside the walls and find the Founding Titan.

The information Eren relays to Grisha is also revealed to his son through his memories and journal. It is also revealed that there is an unseen path where the Titan power is passed randomly to an Eldian baby and they are all connected to the Founding Titan.

Chapter 89 Spoilers, Predictions

The 13-year lifespan of a Titan means Eren only has eight years to live before he could pass on the powers. With the latest information, Eren has a very big steps to make and it all boils down on what he should do with his powers given that he knows when he will expire. There is also a question on the possibility of sharing the information to the public and their reaction.

The Reddit comments on the latest chapter also focuses on the possibility of more shape shifting Titans and the explanation behind Eren's possible powers considering that he has eaten two shifters Titans in the past. He will take advantage of these powers but the extent of his power will be explained in the future chapters.
