Capcom is beginning to make its move for its "Mega Man" franchise towards the mobile market. Aiming for an early 2017 release, the game will be available for download on both iOS and Android.

Back in 2015, Nintendo released the "Mega Man Legacy Collection," which was well-received by both fans and critics alike. Now, the developers are now gearing towards a mobile release that will get the same kind of reception sometime next year.

According to recent reports by Geek, the six classic "Mega Man" games released on the NES will be released on the mobile sometime next week. Each of these classics can be sold separately and synced with Rockman Unity, an app that functions as newsfeed for the franchise. By syncing into the app, players will be able to unlock monthly exclusives and rewards one they complete certain tasks or game missions.

Veteran fans of the game know how it is accomplish the levels, with difficulty spiking with each level's challenges. Newcomers to the franchise will be rejoicing, however, since the mobile re-release of the game series will be given an option to be played easier with beginner-friendly mode and simplified gaming options to draw the crowd in better. These options include automatic fire, automatic charge, fully adjustable game speeds and the like for casual gaming. But, those who still a little challenge every now and then can set it to the regular type of "Mega Man" gameplay.

While this sounds exciting and all for "Mega Man" fans and newcomers, "Mega Man's" mobile release seems to only have a Japanese release, according to WWG. While we're still unsure when the Western release will surface, Capcom still tries to be active in the mobile market in the West. Thus, possibilities in getting a "Mega Man" mobile game will be far from low.

A "Mega Man" mobile game will be another addition to the classics' integration into modern devices. We recently had "Pokemon Go" and, now, Nintendo has just released "Super Mario Run" for iOS and Android. "Mega Man" may just be more than a port to the mobile devices but it'll provide an awesome gameplay the same way old-school gamers experienced back in the classic days.

"Mega Man" for the mobile will be first released in Japan on Jan. 6, 2017.
