‘One Piece’ news, spoilers, and updates: Straw Hat pirates moving to conclusion; Anime heading to Reverie and Wano arcs in 2017

(Photo : Anime News Network/One Piece) "One Piece", which was started on July 19, 1997, is celebrating its 20th anniversary in 2017 with two exciting new arcs.

2017 will be a big year for the "One Piece" manga and television anime series as the title will celebrate its 20th anniversary.

According to Crunchy Roll, "One Piece" will be moving Luffy and the rest of the Straw Hats gang towards the conclusion. The near conclusion of "One Piece" came after Eiichiro Oda has stated that his manga series is currently at 65% complete, Dai One Piece Shinbun reported.

At the School of Jump netcast, it has been revealed that the anime's current storyline, the Whole Cake Island arc, is already halfway done with an estimated 20 to 25 remaining chapters. Eiichiro Oda then picked this up, revealing that 2017 will carry the run into the Reverie council of kings and Wano land of the samurai arcs.

While Oda did not make a personal appearance at the Anime Jump Festa panel, he was still part of the event courtesy of a letter which was revealed to the attendees. The said letter disclosed that "One Piece" will see the continuation of the Whole Cake Island arc in 2017.

Aside from the Whole Cake Island arc, which is currently being covered by "One Piece" anime television series, the manga franchise is also set to explore two new arcs --- the Reverie arc and the Wano arc.

According to One Piece Podcast, these two arcs are two of the most exciting arcs in the series which will surely excite its huge and still growing global fan base. It has also been revealed that a "One Piece" dedicated magazine is soon to be launched will contain a novel telling the previously unheard story of "a certain flame-flame fruit user".

Aside from the three above-mentioned arcs, fans of "One Piece" can also look forward in 2017 the Marineford arc. However, it will not be part of the manga but of the popular "One Piece" kabuki which will have its run at the Shimbashi Playhouse in Tokyo from Oct. 6 to Nov. 25, 2017.
