Sulli and Hara previously became the subjects of controversy for their endorsement photoshoot which was branded as "lolita-themed."
The former f(x) member was the first to share a photo which she later deleted after receiving mixed response from the netizens. However, the controversy resurfaced when Sulli and Hara recently posted photos from the endorsement on Instagram.
Obviously, many netizens were infuriated to Sulli and Hara for bringing up the same material that mired them in controversy in the past. On the other hand, there were also some who came to rescue the two idols from the issue.
Meanwhile, the former f(x) member chose to remain firm and even responded to hate comments she has been receiving for the "lolita-themed" photos, Soompi cited.
On Dec. 28, Sulli took to her Instagram account to share a photo of her fierce-looking face and said, "Lolita, lolita, don't go overboard. Leave insults somewhere more appropriate and just look at my face instead."
Still, the controversy refused to die down as netizens were even more angered on Sulli's response on the issue. Most of them pointed out that the former f(x) member only justified pedophilia with her reply.
"If she finds it that unfair, she should give us an explanation. We're asking for an official response, so why can't she do that? People aren't criticizing her for no reason," a netizen wrote according to Allkpop.
"I honestly thought she'd been hacked... but she had posted it herself; she's truly amazing," another commenter said.
Sulli's fans defended her and said the idol can post whatever she wants to on her SNS accounts. "If you really don't want to see it, then don't follow her. You must have nothing to do to try to tear apart someone who's living well," a fan said.
Another fan added some netizens are going too far with their criticisms, adding that Sulli does not deserve them despite her imperfections.
