Actress Kim Yoo Jung has been rushed to the hospital after suffering from a stress-induced shock, reports say. The incident comes days after the actress received criticism for reportedly acting inappropriately at a movie premiere.
Kim Yoo Jung was hospitalized on Dec. 26 due to a shock attack. According to Koreaboo, this is the second time she was rushed to the hospital. The first one was due to severe flu.
"She is currently hospitalized and in a very bad condition to continue with her activities. We are currently unable to make any decisions regarding her future activities," the actress' agency, SidusHQ, said.
In another statement, SidusHQ revealed that Kim Yoo Jung is now in a stable condition, but has not been discharged from the hospital where she continues to receive treatment. As per Koreaboo, Kim Yoo Jung's future activities might be affected by her hospitalization. She is scheduled to attended the 2016 KBS Drama Awards on Dec. 31 and participate in promotional activities for her new movie "Because I Love You." It was previously reported that Kim Yoo Jung might cancel all her future activities until she is fully healed.
The controversy which the 17-year-old actress is embroiled in is related to a movie premiere she attended earlier this week. The young star came under fire for standing with one foot forward while she was one stage. She was also spotted picking her nails in public, an act that is considered rude in Korean culture.
Kim Yoo Jung's agency said that she is aware of the negative remarks about her behavior and that she deeply regrets her action and having disappointed her fans. As for SidusHQ, the agency promised not to let another incident like that happen again. Both Kim Yoo Jung and SidusHQ apologize for causing discomfort and worry to everyone.
Some fans came to Kim Yoo Jung's defense by saying that the actress wasn't acting rudely at all and that she was in fact very kind and well-mannered throughout the event.
