"Ocean's Eight" is shaping up to have one of the most star-studded all-female ensemble of all time. Aside from the solid main cast led by Sandra Bullock, "Ocean's Eight" also boasts buzz-worthy cameo appearances, among which includes half-sisters Kim Kardashian and Kendall Jenner.
Kim Kardashian and Kendall Jenner were spotted in New York City reportedly to film a cameo appearance in "Ocean's Eight." According to The Sun, the famous reality show stars were spotted filming a fictional Met Gala scene for the movie. The other stars who are making cameo appearances include Met Gala regulars such as Adriana Lima, Katie Holmes and Vogue editor and Met Gala organizer Anna Wintour. Fashion designer Zac Posen was also spotted near the set.
This particular scene in the movie involves a jewelry robbery at New York's prestigious Met Gala. The all-female heist that will be led Bullock's character, who is a sister of George Clooney's Danny Ocean. Joining the robbery ensemble are Cate Blanchett, Anne Hathaway, Helena Bonham Carter, Elizabeth Banks, Rihanna, Sarah Paulson, Mindy Kaling and Awkwafina. Dakota Fanning and Matt Damon are also part of the "Ocean's Eight" cast. James Corden is also confirmed to make a cameo.
Variety has confirmed that "Homeland" actor Damian Lewis is already in final talks to play the role of the villain in "Ocean's Eight." The big bad is described as the Bullock's character's ex-lover. He becomes the target of the group's heist, as it is speculated that he might hold an artifact that is important to one of the female leads. It's also likely that the robbery is an act of revenge plotted by Bullock's character.
"Ocean's Eight" is being directed by Gary Ross, with Olivia Milch helming the script. The movie is expected to hit theaters on June 8, 2018.
