In just a couple of days, 2NE1 will finally bid their final "Goodbye" to Blackjacks with a new music on Jan. 21.
On Thursday, YG Entertainment took to Instagram to share a teaser image of 2NE1's "Goodbye" track that will mark the end of their journey as a girl group. Allkpop cited the post is a blurry image of the members with release date which is on Thursday.
The teaser image of 2NE1's "Goodbye" made all Blackjacks emotional, realizing the fact that it is the end for the legendary girl group. Many of them said they are not yet ready to bid their farewell to the four-member band.
Meanwhile, some of the fans are also happy that 2NE1 will be doing a proper closure with their "Goodbye" track. Also, other Blackjacks are still hopeful that Minzy is part of the farewell song.
"Reality just kicked in that 2NE1 really are disbanding. I mean, even before it was officially announced, I think almost every single one of us already suspected it; however, seeing the first teaser now feels like reality is finally slapping us in our faces," a Blackjack wrote.
YG Entertainment announced 2NE1's disbandment in November. Soompi reported the girl group's contract with the label expired back in May; however, CL and Dara have decided to resign with the agency as solo artists.
Following the disbandment, 2NE1 announced they are set to reunite for their "Goodbye" song which dedicated to all Blackjacks. Reports suggested the members even flew overseas to record the music video of the farewell track.
"The members of 2NE1 were sad that they weren't able to say their final goodbyes to fans after their sudden disbandment, so they've come together for one last song," a source said.
Further claims stated Minzy might not be participating with CL, Park Bom and Dara for the upcoming release. Watch out for 2NE1's final "Goodbye" at midnight of Jan. 21.
