Tag Heuer, a brand known for its luxury watch is about to release the another smartwatch this coming May. The company made its launch of the world's first luxury smartwatch in 2015 and now they decided to do an upgraded version.
In an article posted by Tech Times, Tag Heuer is about to make another buzz with their smartwatch, as they plan to release the Android Wear 2.0 this Spring. Jean-Claude Biver, the company's CEO, announced this upcoming launch in one of his interviews with the press.
Biver was proud to say that their first attempt to sell a luxury smartwatch turned out successful because they were almost sold. Therefore, they thought it is a great idea to come out with a new collection, which they plan to make about 150,000 pieces more. He is positive enough to believe that all those units will be sold.
GSM Arena said that the company's CEO kept most of the details private, as he wants their prospective buyers to be surprised when they finally unveil it. He did, however, gave out some of its features such as its battery having a longer life. They have also enhanced its display and the reception is expected to come out clearer this time.
Android 2.0 will be its operating system, which is due for release this February. So far, the company already sold 56,000 units for $1,500 each a couple of years ago when they first released it. They made more of it this time hoping they will do well just like the last time.
According to Forbes, the new edition comes in two sizes, the smaller one is for women. There will be a difference when it comes to its colors and its finish. The price for this new one has not been revealed.
