Actor Lee Dong Wook expressed his gratitude for the success of "Goblin" through a video message. The artist, who played as the Grim Reaper, admitted he never expected things will turn out well for the tvN drama series.
The 35-year-old actor admitted filming "Goblin" was not easy for the whole team as it requires a lot of action scenes and CG; however, Lee Dong Wook added teamwork made it possible to finish the drama happily, Soompi cited.
"When the drama first started, I didn't know it would become this well-received. For giving the drama more love than I expected, I sincerely thank you," the actor told his fans.
Lee Dong Wook continued, "We ended 2016 and began 2017 with "Goblin." I hope it was a happy, meaningful, and splendid time for you all."
He is also hopeful that his fans will continue to remember his character as the Grim Reaper in the drama series. The actor ended his message by asking his supporters to stay healthy and wait for his next project, promising them a new and fresh image.
Meanwhile, Lee Dong Wook and the rest of "Goblin" production currently hold the record as the highest rated tvN drama after airing its final episode on Saturday as per Allkpop.
The Gong Yoo starrer drama series dethroned "Reply 1988" after it recorded a viewership rating of 20.5 percent over 18.8 percent. Following the success, "Goblin" treated their fans with behind-the-scene photos through their official website.
The photo album titled "We'll give you everything" featured the light moments of Gong Yoo, Lee Dong Wook, Kim Go Eun, Yoo In Na, and Yook Sungjae while filming "Goblin."
On top of that, reports suggested "Goblin" will also air special episodes on Feb. 3 and 4, featuring more behind-the-scene cuts, bloopers and interviews of the main cast members.
