The Marvel Cinematic Universe has some busy months ahead of them. Following the recent development that "Black Panther" has officially kicked off production, news has arrived that Iron Man and his Avengers fellas have also began filming for the first part of "Avengers: Infinity War."
Joe and Anthony Russo, who are co-directing "Avengers: Infinity War," took it to social media to officially announce that production for the highly-anticipated superhero pic has started. On a Facebook post, they shared an image of multiple trailers from their undisclosed location.
"Day #1 of Infinity," the post reads.
Many fans immediately reacted to the image, which is a clear sign that "Avengers: Infinity War" is going to be another blockbuster film for Marvel. At this moment, not much details have been made available about the film. As much as fans would like to see new faces from the comics joining the superhero movie event, the producers are remaining tight-lipped about casting information.
Just recently, Variety reported that "Game of Thrones" standout Peter Dinklage is in talks to play a key role on Avengers: Infinity War. Marvel did not make an official comment about the casting bit. But word on the rumor mill says that he is likely to play Pip, a character from the comics linked to Adam Warlock, Infinity Watch, Infinity War and Infinity Crusade.
Apparently, the actor was seen having his hair dyed bright red, which have triggered speculation that he might be indeed preparing for the role. As expected, Marvel stayed mum about the theory.
In addition, a leaked casting information for the film also made its way to the web. Among the comic book characters revealed from the list include some very familiar names such as Odin, Loki, Peggy Carter, Maria Hill, Quicksilver, Wong, Thaddeus Ross, Hank Pam, Janet Van Dyke and Zuri.
"Avengers: Infinity War" will hit theaters on May 4, 2018.
