BLACKPINK's Lisa was welcomed by a huge crowd of fans upon arrival in Thailand to celebrate the Lunar Year holiday in her hometown. Videos of her return have gone viral, featuring how the idol mingled with people who waited for her at the airport.

Koreaboo stated Lisa took the time to meet and converse with her fans at an airport in Thailand, proving why she is branded as the "Thailand Princess." Reports stated the BLACKPINK member was originally from Thailand before she became a trainee of YG Entertainment in 2011.

Pranpriya Manoban, best known for her stage name Lisa, was born and raised in Thailand. According to reports, Lisa was the sole survivor of an audition to become a YG trainee back in 2010.

A year later, Lisa left her hometown to start her journey as the first foreign artist of YG Entertainment. Previously, the BLACKPINK member shared her struggles in learning the Korean language.

"At first, I couldn't speak Korean at all. It was frustrating how I couldn't communicate. So I received Korean lessons every day and my members also helped me a lot on my Korean," Lisa said as per Allkpop.

She added Thai people are fanatics of K-Pop, adding that just like her, many of them dream of becoming a K-Pop idol.

When asked about her edge among other foreign artists in the industry, the BLACKPINK member confidently said that she has something that others do not have.

"I'm usually timid but I try hard to be charismatic on stage. I think this is the unique color I have," she added.

Lisa and the rest of BLACKPINK created a noise last year, while their debut songs "BOOMBAYAH" and "WHISTLE" received an all-kill in several music charts. Despite the tight competition against other K-Pop artists, the YG girl group is still hopeful that many people will notice them this year.

"I want us to be more noticed to people and with good sides of us in every song we release," Lisa said.
