The Golden State Warriors (42-7) is set to clash with the Los Angeles Clippers (31-18) at the Staples Center on Feb. 2, Thursday in a 2016-2017 NBA regular season encounter.

Golden State is on a four-game winning run after succumbing to their seventh loss of the season against Miami on Jan. 23. The team is still on top of the Western Conference table, four-and-a-half games in front of second-running team San Antonio Spurs.

The Warriors routed the Charlotte Hornets, 126-111, on Wednesday night at the Oracle Arena for their 11th win in their last 12 matches, as per SB Nation.

Stephen Curry was back in the lineup after resting their previous game against Portland and exploded for 39 points on 14-for-20 field goal shooting, including an 11-for-15 clip from beyond the arc. He also had five rebounds, eight assists, and three steals in another incredible performance for head coach Steve Kerr.

Klay Thompson backed him up with 29 points on 6-for-10 shooting from downtown, with five boards and eight assists as well. Kevin Durant added 18 points, eight rebounds, and eight assists as he struggled to shoot the ball all night.

Draymond Green had 10 rebounds, eight points, and five assists while JaVale McGee started at center for the injured Zaza Pachulia and had nine points and four boards. Aside from Pachulia, reserves David West and Shaun Livingston are also out for the Warriors.

Meanwhile, the Clippers are reeling at the moment with four losses in their last six games. The team is currently fourth in the West, three-and-a-half games behind third-place squad Houston Rockets and only a half-game ahead of fifth-running team Utah Jazz.

Los Angeles defeated the Phoenix Suns, 124-114, on the road at the Talking Stick Resort Arena also last Wednesday, Fox Sports reported.

Blake Griffin led his squad with 29 points, eight rebounds, and five assists while Raymond Felton, who is filling-in for injured starter Chris Paul, had 18 points and five boards.

JJ Redick added 16 points, two rebounds, and three assists while Austin Rivers contributed 14 points, two boards, four assists, and three steals also as a starter.

Prediction 

The Warriors are 20-4 on the road this season while the Clippers are 17-7 at home. Without Paul, Golden State is predicted to pull off a big win in LA.
