Members of the now debunked I.O.I have finally spoken up about their disbandment and experience with the band. In an exclusive interview, the girls talked about how their lives changed after being chosen for the project girl group.
According to Koreaboo, the eleven members are just grateful for the opportunity to be part of I.O.I. "I've gotten so much love and affection in such a short time. This is more than I could have ever dreamed of," Kim Sejeong said.
She added performing with I.O.I has prepared her for Gugudan's upcoming album. Kim Sejeong also promised to support her former co-members in their respective activities. Meanwhile, Jeon Seomi admitted she will miss I.O.I and their fans; however, the idol announced her upcoming return under JYP Entertainment.
On the other hand, Jung Chaeyeon vowed to work even harder to improve as an artist, while Joo Kyulkung looks forward to perform with PRISTIN alongside Lim Nayoung. After disbandment, I.O.I's Kim Chungha hinted to release a solo album within the year.
Kang Min, on the other hand, expressed her love to her co-members and fans. "In the future, each of the members will work hard to show growth, so please give each and every one of us your love," the idol said.
I.O.I's Kim Doyeon and Choi Yoojung admitted they felt sad after the disbandment of the girl group. However, the idols stated the experience was memorable for them. Whereas Yoo Yeonjung promised to give her best with WJSN.
Finally, Kim Sohye left her fans with a promise for an I.O.I reunion after five years. Soompi reported that the 11-member group previously asked their fans to wait for their reunion.
"We'll be back together in 5 years after each of the members grow a lot. Please watch over us as we continue to bloom beautifully. I'm putting my trust in the members and the fans," Kim Sohye said.
