Dynamic Duo's Choiza and former f(x) member Sulli's relationship was controversial when it first went public, and to this day remains a much talked-about topic in fan communities. Choiza, one-half of the usually private pair, recently opened up about his relationship with Sulli.
On the Feb. 28 broadcast of "Video Star," Choiza talked about his music and his writing process, for which he draws inspiration from his relationship with Sulli. He shared that a relationship is filled with good moments and bad moments, and all of these provide the narrative for a lot of his songs.
"I have a lot of songs that talk about love and it's especially true that these memories are engraved in my songs," Choiza said, as translated by Koreaboo. He added that Choiza and Sulli inspire each other mutually, and that's how their relationship goes.
Choiza's lyrics for "Eat Do It Sleep" received criticism from Korean listeners due to its sexual and suggestive lyrics, and many presumed that the song was about Sulli.
Sulli herself has also come under fire for her recent posts on Instagram, which have been perceived by many as Lolita-themed posts. In some of her photos, the singer-actress is wearing thin, see-through lingerie and showing a lot of skin, allkpop reported. The term "Lolita" refers to a young girl who behaves in an inappropriate, sexual manner.
Meanwhile, Choiza also talked about his unconventional stage name. Choiza's group mate, Gaeko revealed that he got the nickname "Choiza" because of his penis since "Choi-Za" is short for "Choigang Zazi," which translates to "Greatest Penis." Choiza shared that his mother scolded him for choosing such nickname and said that his mother is very embarrassed about it.
Choiza and Sulli publicly came out as a couple in 2014. However, their relationship was mired with controversy and scandal. Aside from their huge age gap, f(x) fans blamed Choiza for Sulli's sudden decision to leave the group.
