It appears that Hallyu star Kim So Yeon will be a June bride to boyfriend Lee Sang Woo after South Korea-based talent management agency Namoo Actors confirms the couple’s upcoming wedding.
In an official statement released by Namoo Actors, it was revealed that Lee and Kim are set to tie-the-knot in June this year. Furthermore, the agency also shared a little background about the couple's love story.
According to the agency as quoted by All KPop: "Lee Sang Woo and Kim So Yeon will be bearing the fruit of their meeting by getting married… The two first met through MBC drama 'Happy Home' and maintained a serious relationship by cheering each other on. They decided to promise to become lifetime partners through after confirming their love and trust in each other. Their families will be holding a meeting to officially discuss the marriage later today (the 28th).”
“They are planning the ceremony for mid-June, but no official plans or location has been confirmed. We will announce the details once they've been set. Please congratulate Lee Sang Woo and Kim So Yeon's new start in creating a new family, and give them your attention and encouragement," added Namoo Actors.
The couple confirmed their relationship in August 2016 after starring together in the MBC weekend drama “Happy Together”. In fact, their portrayals in the show have earned the “High Excellence Awards” (male and female) in the in the Serial Drama category during the 2016 MBC Drama Awards, Soompi reports.
Lee is known for his portrayals in the TV drama series “First Wives' Club”, ”The Road Home”, and ”Feast of the Gods”. Kim, on the other hand, began her entertainment career in 1994 and rose to fame through “All About Eve”, ”Iris”, “Prosecutor Princess”, and many more.
