"Captain America" star Chris Evans has proven that he's fighting for a purpose off and on screen and he continues to express his political views on Twitter. He has been a strong critic of US President Donald Trump, even calling Trump's win "an embarrassing night for America." But there's one person Evans will give a "pass" for supporting Trump, and it's none other than New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady.

Trump is definitely nowhere near Evans' list of favorite humans. His political views have often shown his opposition to Trump and his policies. Speaking to the Los Angeles Daily News, Evans explained that it's more about who Trump is as a person that doesn't sit well with him.

There's now one issue about Trump that Evans has to contend with-the fact that his sports hero Tom Brady is a supporter of the incumbent US president. Evans is a huge fan of Brady, who is known to have voted for Trump for presidency, and Evans has often spoken about his admiration for the sportsman in several interviews. As a matter of fact, a video of Evans jumping and screaming in joy when the Patriots won the Super Bowl this year has gone viral.

In an interview with USA Today, Evans said that although he gets into "political disagreements" with people, he doesn't want to encourage the idea of someone opposing his views automatically being his enemy. He impressed that it's important for everyone to get along, a tune similar to his sentiments on Twitter.

But definitely, Evans is tolerating Brady's support for Trump. "He gave me five rings. What am I supposed to do? He gets a pass," the "Gifted" star said.

Interestingly, Evans' has such glorified image of Brady in his mind that he doesn't want to meet him in person. "I just want to let him be the thing I imagine he is, and that's it. That's good enough for me," Evans said on "Jimmy Kimmel Live."
