South Korean girl group EXID shared their thoughts on being included in the music charts during the promotion of their latest single “Night Rather Than Day”.
The group members revealed that making sure to reserve themselves a spot on the charts does not belong to their top priority as they prefer making great memories during their promotion periods. However, they added that they are not close to the idea of being included in the rankings as they consider it as rewards for their hard work.
“We’ve never been obsessed with [music chart] rankings before. As long as we have fun while doing what we do, we believe that we’ll eventually be rewarded. We just want to enjoy our time with promoting,” said the group as quoted by Soompi.
Because of their laid-back attitude, many have expressed their admiration towards the group. According to a fan: “I have so much love for these girls. I'm happy to see that they're enjoying themselves rather than stressing out about the charts. But the LEGGOs will still work hard to make sure they win on music shows because they deserve it.”
Another one added: “ …EXID has enjoyed the fame they long deserved, and knowing that they will never remain popular forever, instead of looking at the spots on the music charts, spending time and efforts on the music direction they should go for, they evolved with each and every music creation.”
Meanwhile, EXID’s “Night Rather Than Day” has recently bagged the first spot in the latest installment of SBS MTV's “The Show”. Competing against them are KPop stars Minzy and Lee Hae Ri. This is the group’s first time to claim the top place in the said competition, All KPop reports.
