Looks like K-Pop fans will have a new oppa soon. American actor-singer Jaden Smith announced that he will soon release a K-Pop single

In a recent Twitter post, the 18-year-old son of "Suicide Squad" actor Will Smith revealed that he will be "dropping a K-Pop single in the next four months," The Philippine Daily Inquirer reports. The announcement came shortly after he confirmed that he and his sister Willow and friend Odessa Adlon have formed a band.

Smith also revealed in a follow up tweet that he will be releasing two music videos next month. It's unclear, however, if Jaden's K-pop debut is with his band or solo.

This comes as exciting news for fans, especially since Smith has been teasing about making his big break in K-Pop. Previously, Smith tweeted that he is serious about being a K-Pop star. Smith cites BIGBANG's leader, G-Dragon, as his inspiration. He also said that becoming a K-pop star is one of his goals for 2017.

The Jaden and his dad Will Smith have and close ties with the people at YG Entertainment. in 2013, the father and son duo visited YG Entertainment's headquarters in South Korea where they hung out with Yang Hyun Suk, CL, BIGBANG members G-Dragon, T.O.P and Taeyang, and YG producer Teddy and Choice37.

During their meeting G-Dragon and Jaden Smith performed each other's songs and promised to see each other again in the future, MWave reported. The Smiths also stopped by the world famous YG Entertainment cafeteria where they were served with bibimbap and bulgogi.

Although this will be Jaden Smith's first foray into K-Pop, it wouldn't be his first experience in music. He has released several songs in the US, including "Scarface" in 2015, "Fallen" in 2016 and "Losing Your Mind", which was used as a soundtrack to the Netflix series "The Get Down."
