Bollywood actor Hrithik Roshan on Tuesday shared first motion poster of his upcoming movie Mohenjo Daro on Twitter.

"Right guys, here we go," the Bang Bang star wrote on his official Twitter account while sharing the YouTube link of movie's first ever teaser.

"Before the British Raj, Before the Mughals, Before the Christ, Before the Alexander, Before the Buddha and Before the India as we know it, there was... Mohenjo Daro," the teaser says. The 570second motion poster gives a sneak peek of Mohenjo Daro, the period film set in the ancient city of Mohenjo Daro during the Indus Valley Civilization. Check out the teaser here.

Mohenjo Daro is directed by Ashutosh Gowarikar. It is Gowarikar and Roshan's second movie together. Their first collaboration Jodha Akbar was a massive hit at the Indian box office in 2008. The 42-year-old actor, in a recent interview, revealed that Mohenjo Daro will be one of his best films. "For 'Mohenjo Daro,' I am traveling back in time. It has been a great journey, great experience. I really believe it is going to be one of my best films. I hope and pray that the audience also agrees with it when the film releases," he said.

The historic adventure romance drama will feature South Indian actress Pooja Hedge in the lead female role opposite Roshan. The movie will be Hedge's debut in Bollywood. Produced by Siddharth Roy Kapur and Sunita A Gowariker, the film is slated to hit theaters on August 12.

Earlier there were speculations that the makers of Mohenjo Daro might change movie's release date to avoid a clash with Akshay Kumar's Rustom. However, Gowarika's production has issued a statement saying that there will be no change in the release date of the movie.

"I would like to clarify that he (director) has not been spoken to and that there is no change in the release date of Mohenjo Daro. As officially announced more than a year ago, on January 15, 2015, the film will be released on August 12, 2016," the statement said.
