American Horror Story is beginning to take shape, after almost six months of airing its most recent installment, Hotel.
Cheyenne Jackson, who played fashion designer/hotelier Will Drake, has confirmed that he would be returning to the show in the upcoming sixth season. The actor revealed the news in a recent interview, while talking about a potential tour for his new album.
"Right now, we're shooting Horror Story," Jackson told Out Magazine. "I won't be able to promote the album 'till we're done, by the end of the year."
Just like any other seasons of the FX horror series, Jackson hinted that the new season would be another out-of-the-box creation from showrunner Ryan Murphy.
"Just different. You'll see," he teased. "Wild horses wouldn't make me reveal the plot."
Jackson is the third American Horror Story cast member to confirm his participation in Season 6. In March, Lady Gaga has revealed that she would be back, but did not divulge "how or when." Co-star Angela Basset also revealed that she is on board in an interview with Larry King in February.
Details of plot and time period of the new installment are still being kept tightly under wraps. But series creator Ryan Murphy dropped some hints in March, teasing that they have been working on "two ideas at once."
"Both things that we're writing right now - we haven't declared a winner," Murphy told reporters at Paley Fest. "Will have a different form, so we're excited about that. We'll talk about it soon, but we haven't landed on it yet."
Brad Falchuk and Tim Minear are the executive producers of American Horror Story. The first season of the series, titled Murder House, debuted in the fall of 2011, gaining positive reviews and a strong fan following. Other previous installments include Asylum, Coven, Freak Show and Hotel.
American Horror Story Season 6 is slated to debut sometime this year.
