"Quantico" has added South African actress Pearl Thusi as a new series regular on its forthcoming second season.

Thusi, whose recent TV credits include "Zone 14" and "Soul City," will play the driven and disciplined type-A lawyer Dayana Mampasi, Deadline reported. Thusi's Dayana graduated top of her class at Harvard university and worked at an NGO for two years before she joined her parents' firm in Boston. But she still struggles to fit in despite having it all.

Thusi joins fellow "Quantico" stars Priyanka Chopra, Jake McLaughlin, Yasmine Al Massri, Johanna Brady, Blair Underwood, Russell Tovey and Aunjanue Ellis for the show's upcoming sophomore season.

In other casting news, "Quantico" has also added two new recurring players in Season 2, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.

Tracy Ifeachor (The Originals) will play Lydia Bates, a highly accomplished actuary who's got a few twists up her sleeve. David Lim (Criminal Minds), meanwhile, will portray the focused and confident future agent Sebastian Chen.

"Quantico" Season 2 will focus on Alex's new job in the CIA, executive producer Josh Safran recently revealed. The showrunner also teased that the new season will be told in a slower pace and will deal more with the characters and their relationships.

"If Season 1 was fast, Season 2 will be slower, just merely by the nature of [Alex] being in the CIA and not on the run anymore," Safran told TV Guide.

"Quantico," which hails from executive producers Mark Gordon and Nick Pepper, follows a diverse group of recruits that has arrived at the FBI Quantico Base for training. But when an attack hit New York city, their worlds are changed upside down when one of them becomes the lead suspect.

"Quantico" Season 2 premieres on Sunday, September 25 at 10PM on ABC.
