"Merlin" actress Katie McGrath casts as Lex's sister Lena Luthor in the upcoming "Supergirl" Season 2. She will be nothing like her brother who made the family's company less valuable with his evil acts.
According to TV Line, Lena is a beautiful woman with powerful and enigmatic personality. She arrives in National City because she wanted to make a fresh start. She is set to take over as the chief executive officer of Luthor Corp. following closely after the imprisonment of her brother Lex Luthor. Her goal is to use and change her family's billion-dollar-tech company for good.
Lena wants to be recognized as her own person and does not want to be compared to her brother. Kara Danvers (Melissa Benoist), also known as "Supergirl," is drawn into Lena's sphere and will have to figure out if she is a friend or an enemy. This story does not correlate to what happened in "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" movie, as Entertainment Weekly reported.
"Supergirl" is moving from CBS to The CW. "Teen Wolf" actor Tyler Hoechlin will guest star as Superman. "Wonder Woman" actress Lynda Carter will be the president of United States. "Cougar Town" vet Ian Gomez will play as the veteran journalist Snapper Carr and will be the editor-in-chief of CatCo Magazine.
