The kings of Kpop, Bigbang, celebrated their 10th anniversary on Aug. 19.
The band composed of G-Dragon, Taeyang, TOP, Daesung and Seungri is now a legend in both local and international music scene. As part of the celebration, Bigbang held the "BIGBANG10 THE CONCERT - '0-TO-10'' at the Sangam World Cup Stadium in Seoul, YG United reported.
A night of good music and recollection of decade-long memories was attended by fans. To make the event more special, the members shared their ideas during the planning period. Furthermore, this event served as a good opportunity for VIPs, especially those who failed to secure tickets for M.A.D.E concerts, to watch the boys perform their new and old songs.
Bigbang just finished their M.A.D.E tour in March, visiting 13 nations, 32 cities and 1.5 million fans across the globe. Youngest member Seungri conveyed about the 10th anniversary concert during the M.A.D.E Encore in Seoul. He said that the band would have a concert in a bigger venue. The leader, GD added that the anniversary event would be meaningful for them and he wishes to spend more years and grow old with the band, All Kpop reported.
Bigbang debuted in 2006 under YG Entertainment. Their first number one track and Song of the Year awardee, "Lies" was released from "Always EP" in 2007 followed by other chart toppers like "Haru Haru," "Last Farewell," and "Fantastic Baby." The band took a three-year break and in 2015, they released eight new singles from the M.A.D.E album. Hit singles including "Loser," "Bae Bae," "Bang Bang Bang" and "We Like 2 Party" were performed during the world tour. The release of the whole album was postponed because of the band's inadequate time to produce songs.
The band members also have individual careers that keep them on the spotlight despite of the long hiatus. Four members have solo albums released while TOP gained several acting roles. Daesung also released a Japanese album. G-Dragon remains busy with his song writing assignments, fashion show appearances, world tour and recently, his attempt to share his interest in arts through the PeaceMinusOne exhibit.
